Dog training will certainly be more successful if you incorporate your dogs into your family's life style.

Anne has always enjoyed dogs and says she feels very fortunate to be in the "positive" dog training profession. Anne has worked with dogs for the past 20 plus years along with careers in teaching and in the corporate environment. She is now pursuing her true love full time training dogs and coaching their owners.

Anne's family in Vienna revolves around her husband, Gene, and their three dogs. Rudy, Cooper and Missie are all rescue dogs and they have partnered with Anne in several ways. Rudy and Cooper are demo dogs for training purposes and Rudy also enjoys going with Anne to visit with groups of children as they talk about dog safety. Be sure to see Rudy's books: "RUDY'S FRIENDS" and "BE SAFE WITH RUDY AND HIS FRIENDS."

                Homeward Trails Animal Rescue

Homeward Trails seeks to find permanent adoptive homes in the Mid-Atlantic Region for dogs and cats from high-kill shelters or whose owners can no longer care for them. In so doing, we seek to reduce the rate of euthanasia of adoptable animals through the rescue and placement of homeless animals; to support proactive spay/neuter practices; to promote positive and ongoing behavioral training; and to educate the public about how to care for their animals in a humane way. Homeward Trails not only facilitates adoptions from local shelters, but also supports a large network of foster care providers who take homeless dogs and cats into their homes, care for them, rehabilitate them when needed, and prepare them for their permanent adoptive homes.

At Dog Paws University, we are “home” to several Homeward Trails’ dogs until they find a foster or adoptive home.  It’s a great gig for them because they play all day and get plenty of love from our staff, but they need a permanent home.  Please stop by and see them every Sunday from 10-11am!
